Drury Boys, Hoosac Girls in W.Mass Semis on WNAW

Due to a recently approved change to the state high school sports tournament formats, there will be no more Western Mass titles to play for after next year. Two North Berkshire basketball teams are doing their best to grab one this season, and you can hear it all on WNAW.

This Tuesday at the Curry Hicks cage at UMass, the 2nd seeded Drury Blue Devils play #3 Hopkins in a W.Mass Boys Div. 4 semifinal. The winner will meet the Bay State Charter/Lenox survivor Saturday afternoon for the title. Tuesday's tip time is scheduled for 8 P.M.

Then Wednesday night from the Cage, it's the Girls Div. 3 semi matching the 3rd seeded Hoosac Valley Lady Hurricanes against #2 Hampshire, with the winner going to Saturday's championship against either top seeded Wahconah or #5 Sabis. The approximate tip time Wednesday is 7:30.
