One of the questions in the wake of the COVID-19 school closure orders involved how to make sure that school children, many of whom depend on meals at school during the week, would be taken care of.

North Adams Public Schools will be providing pre-packaged "Grab 'n Go" meals on a first come, first serve basis. Their Facebook page notes that children must be present to receive one breakfast and one lunch per day, through April 3. Meals may be picked up from 11 A.M.-Noon at Brayton and Colegrove Park Elementary Schools. For the convenience of families who can't travel to those schools, they will also be available at Mohawk Forest Apartments and Greylock Valley Apartments from 11-Noon, starting Tuesday March 17.

Hoosac Valley Regional School District also will have free "Grab and Go" breakfast and lunch packages for all children in the district age 18 and under. Pickup will be between the hours of 9-11 A.M. Monday through Friday at the back door of the Hoosac Valley Elementary School cafeteria.
