In the game heard last night on WNAW, Drury and Monument Mountain put up points at a pace rarely seen in high school ball, with the Blue Devils prevailing 90-87. But that's only half the story.

Drury senior Scott McGuire Jr. poured in 52 to pass Reece Racette as the school's all-time leading scorer and fly by Tommy Bullett's single game scoring mark of 43.

The Berkshire Eagle lists McGuire as the 5th highest Berkshire Co. boys basketball scorer of all time with 1489 points. He's 31 behind St.Joe's legend Frank Scago and 95 behind Hoosac Valley's Chad Misiuk for the 3rd spot, with more basketball to be played, possibly extending into the post-season. The win puts Drury at 6-5 on the season overall. The Spartans fall to 7-5.

There was more good news for North Berkshire teams last night as the Hurricane boys beat Wahconah on the road 55-54 and the McCann ladies brought home a 49-44 win over Hopkins Academy.

MCLA men stayed unbeaten in MASCAC as they won 88-87 in O-T at Worcester St. for their 9th in a row. Williams Eph-men beat Amherst 62-60 at Chandler.
