After winning their first Western Mass basketball title since 1990, the Drury Blue Devils had their season ended by Central Mass champ Worcester Tech, 70-62 in the State Div. 4 Boys semifinals tonight at AIC in Springfield.

The game was a close one throughout the 1st half, but Worcester Tech went on a 25-8 tear in the 3rd quarter to take a 52-38 lead. Drury was able to draw to within 6 with about a minute and a half left in the game but that was as close as they would come.

Scott McGuire scored a team high 22 for the Blue Devils, and Reece Racette ended his Drury career with 19.

The game was the 2nd half of a doubleheader, which saw Hoosac Valley winning a Girls Div. 3 semifinal over Millis, 63-42 in the opener. The Lady 'Canes will play for a State Championship Saturday against the winner of Wednesday afternoon's North/South semi between St Mary's and Archbishop Williams.
