BREAKING: Hoosac Valley Lady Canes Advance to State Final

The Western Mass champion Hoosac Valley Lady Hurricanes dominated their Central Mass counterparts, defeating Millis 63-42 in a State Div. 3 Girls semifinal today at AIC in Springfield.

Lexi Mercier poured in a game-high 22 points and Alie Mendel added 21.

Hoosac Valley jumped out to an early lead and led 26-18 at the half.  They never let up and were up by as many as 21 late in the 4th quarter, which wound up as the margin of victory.

They will play the winner of Wednesday afternoon's North/South semifinal between St. Mary's and Archbishop Williams.

The Western Mass Champion Drury Blue Devils will try to move on to the Boys Div. 4 Finals as they take on Central Mass Champion Worcester Tech tonight.  That game tips off at 7:30 P.M. on AM1230 and streaming live on wnaw.com .
