St. Elizabeth of Hungary Parish in North Adams will begin televising a Sunday Mass starting this weekend. Deacon Bruce Ziter told us that the Mass will be recorded on Friday evenings and broadcast over Spectrum Cable's Public Access Channel 1301 Sundays at 10:00 A.M.

On our Community Insight show this morning, North Adams Mayor Tom Bernard said that he had been speaking with St. Elizabeth's pastor, Rev. Dariusz Wudarski this week about the challenges of keeping people connected to their faith in the midst of the COVID-19 restrictions. In addition to governmental regulations limiting public gatherings, the Diocese of Springfield last week suspended the public celebration of Mass. Rev. Wudarski will celebrate the weekly Mass, which will not be open to the public, in keeping with the current restrictions.

The mayor mentioned that other religious denominations around the city are considering ways to keep their faith congregations connected, with details yet to be announced.
