WNAW’s “Party in the Park” Cancelled Because of Health Concerns
Due to the pandemic and the overall concern for the public’s health, WNAW’s popular Thursday night summer concert series “Party in the Park” has been cancelled.
This year would have marked the 11th annual “Party in the Park” music series at Noel Field in North Adams. A free concert series for our listeners and music fans of Berkshire County.
Although it was a difficult decision, the safety of the bands, vendors, staff, and of course our listeners, is of the utmost importance to us. Given the current worldwide COVID-19 crisis, we could not in good conscience go ahead with the event of this summer.
We would like to thank all the great bands that performed for us over the years including last year’s lineup; Generation X…Whiskey City…Legal Tender…Raw and Reckless…Critical Mass…Brave Brothers…and Shine.
The series would not be possible without tremendous support of our listeners and the Party in the Park’s great sponsors; Bedard Brothers and Greylock Federal Credit Union.
A special thank you to all of the classic car enthusiasts that would line the outer banks of Noel Field with their classic automobiles.
The "Party in the Park" concert series has been a staple on Thursday nights in July and August. A welcoming event for couples, buddies, and families enjoying the music filling the air and the sun warming their face on the green grass of Noel Field. All against the against the beautiful backdrop of North Adams.
We are looking forward to the summer of 2021 when we can all once again join together and enjoy great music in the beautiful surroundings of North Adams.
