While most of the North Adams WinterFest activities were held indoors, there's one event that benefited from being outside in the sub-freezing weather: the ice sculpture exhibits.

Experienced and novice crafters took their chisels and chain saws to blocks of ice along Main St. & Eagle St. downtown. There was no judging done this year, and no specific theme, so these artists of the arctic had free run.

So there was an owl on Eagle St., an ice cream cone that fit the frosty weather, and a miniature version of the Big Bling, among other things. Which was your favorite?
