Teens Will Lead NBCC Monthly Forum Tonight
The Northern Berkshire Community Coalition's Monthly Forum will take a couple of twists for March. It will be the yearly opportunity for members of the Coalition's Youth Leadership Program to lead the meeting, and it will be held on a different time and day: Tuesday (tonight) from 5-7 P.M. at The Green, 85 Main St., North Adams.
According to the event's Facebook page, the youth of YLP includes teenagers ages 14 to 19 from 4 different area high schools. At tonight's forum, you can expect to learn the importance of involving young people in decision making at a community level as you hear from local youth about the benefits to the community, to young people, and to future generations of having their inputs matter. You're encouraged to join in the discussion about meaningful ways that our community could incorporate youth voice.
As always, everyone is welcome. In addition to hearing what is on the minds of our local youth, the usual business will be conducted, with an opportunity for introductions, brief announcements of your upcoming events/projects and networking. There will be a table available to display your flyers. For more info, give Tim Shiebler a call at nbCC at (413) 663-7588.
