Kids in and around North Adams will get a bonus chance to gather Halloween goodies this year.

Northern Berkshire Community Coalition is putting together the Downtown NAMA Trick or Treat on Tuesday, October 29 from 4:30-6 P.M. (Thanks to Glenda from nbCC for correcting us on the time).Participating businesses on Eagle, Main, Holden, and Marshall Streets will be giving out candy and/or offering an activity. Just look for a ghost on the shop's window to know who is open for haunting. Costumes are highly encouraged of course, and it's free fun for all ages.

nbCC did something similar last year at their office with a good response. This year they told us, since First Baptist Church is not holding their Trunk or Treat, they decided to invite other local businesses to participate and make it an even bigger event. If this is a monster smash, they'd like to expand the area beyond downtown in the future.

Suzy Helme at the North Adams Office of Community Events reminds everyone that the official citywide trick or treating hours will once again be held on October 31.
