Northern Berkshire Community Coalition will hold its monthly forum this Friday from 10 A.M.-Noon at The Green, 85 Main St., North Adams. This month's topic is: "Invisible Crises: Vaping and Alcohol Use in North Berkshire."

As noted on the event's Facebook page, "When we think of addictive and misused substances, it is often opioid use that is discussed. This forum will focus on concerns regarding alcohol and vaping and how to raise awareness about their use in order to improve community health."

The forum seeks to raise awareness about incidence and impacts of alcohol misuse and vaping in our region, talk about why it's happening in our local communities, and learn about available support for harm reduction, quitting, and recovery.

As at all of the monthly nbCC forums, everyone is welcome to come, learn, and share their views. If you go, you're also asked to please bring a non-perishable food item for donation to the Al Nelson Friendship Center Food Pantry on Eagle Street.

Wendy Penner would be most happy to handle any questions you might have about the forum. You can reach her at (413) 663-7588, or at wpenner@nbccoalition.org.
