Jennifer Benoit of Bennington, who has dealt with Lyme disease for many years, will talk on the subject at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 2, at the Stamford Community Library, 986 Main Road.

Benoit will cover a wide range of aspects of the disease, including tick bite prevention, proper tick removal, tick testing, Lyme disease symptoms, current treatment approaches, and how to find a knowledgeable doctor, among other topics.

Benoit will discuss her personal experience navigating the complex courses of action during her years of coping with her condition. There will be time for Q&A.

The hour-long program is planned to coincide with the town's annual Green-Up Day on Saturday, May 4, as community volunteers fan out in potential tick-infested areas.

Refreshments will be served. All are welcome.
