The North Adams Police Department is expressing disappointment with the reaction on Facebook to a post they made yesterday seeking the public’s help to identify a “person of interest” in a stole motor vehicle case.

Chief Jason Wood addressed what had to be rude and distasteful comments made by some on the North Adams Facebook page in regards to the woman pictured.  In the follow up post left last night Chief Wood stated that the post seeking the public’s assistance had been removed because the comments “had become distasteful and unacceptable.”  The Chief went on to write “The North Adams Police Departments Facebook page is not designed to facilitate that type of dialogue.” Of course, social media being what it is, the Chief’s post has received mostly positive feedback, but of course there are some dissenters.

Police are still seeking information on the stolen motor vehicle and on the “person of interest.”  Both posts from the North Adams Police Department are below beginning with the recent post by Chief Wood.

NAPD is requesting the public’s assistance with identifying this female. On 6/9/21 there was a motor vehicle theft that had occurred and this unknown female is a person of interest. She was last seen in the Union St area by McDonalds. If anyone recognizes this party we ask if you could please contact NAPD Dispatch at 413-664-4945 x 1 and all callers can remain anonymous if you choose. Thank you for your assistance.

The help lighten things up below are some pictures of some puppies.  Enjoy!
