One of my favorite annual events is happening tomorrow.  The 17th annual Humane Race will see dogs and their human friends running through the streets of North Adams to benefit the Berkshire Humane Society.

There's a 5k Run which will be timed by Berkshire Running Center and a 1-mile Fun Walk.  Humans are welcome to run or walk with or without their canine companions, but doggies please note: you must be accompanied by a 2-legged person, OK?

Registration goes from 9-9:45 Saturday morning at Colegrove Elementary School, which is the start/finish line for both courses. The Race starts at 10 A.M.  Registration info is available here.  Greylock Animal Hospital is the title sponsor for this year's event, which as always benefits Berkshire Humane Society, a private, open-admission animal shelter which receives all of its funding through great events like this.

The event website has complete info on rules, the route you'll take and much more. I'll save you one question: it's a rain or shine event. So whether you're a runner, walker, dog owner, dog lover or someone who just wants to show support for the work of Berkshire Humane Society, dress appropriately, come out, and join the fun.
