MASS MoCA turns 20 this year and they're throwing a big birthday bash this Saturday to celebrate. Everyone's invited and you don't have to bring presents!

From its beginning, the still-expanding home to contemporary art in North Adams has embraced not only art exhibits but performance art, participatory pieces, music, dance, film, and fun events. In that spirit, they've put together one grand event for Saturday, May 25.

At 4 P.M. MASS MoCA hosts An Afternoon of Conversation and Song with Annie Lennox. The famed singer/songwriter/artist/humanitarian/social activist has an exhibit, "Now I Let You Go..." opening at the museum. That event is sold out, but from 5:30-7 P.M. there will be an Opening Reception for the three new featured exhibits by Annie Lennox, Cauleen Smith, and Suffering For Realness. Admission is free.

A birthday Block Party is planned from 5-8:30 with lawn games, live music, lively performances, and Open Studios. It's open to everyone at no charge, but be sure to bring a few bucks to enjoy the food and drinks for sale.

The party ends with a bang at 8:30, with a concert by Tank and the Bangas. Tickets are on sale now.
