As someone with Italian in me, I will always be a diehard pasta lover. Whether it's tagliatelle, gnocchi, or ravioli, there's just something about them that's to die for. The best part is that North County residents no longer have to go far to get their pasta fix.

Oh, and did I mention that pasta is all made by hand?

'Zia Roberto' Taverna & Ristorante Now Open In Downtown North Adams

Scrolling through social media today, 'Zia Roberto' posted on their Facebook page that they would open for the first time ever this evening. It's been a long time in the making, but as of Monday, June 15th, it's finally here!

In addition to the restaurant, the former Mohawk Tavern is now what they call an Italian premise of "aperitivo." Meaning you can start off the night with your favorite cocktail (minus the jukebox and pool table) and then enjoy a full dining experience afterward.

The 'Zia Roberto' Dining Experience

According to iberkshires.com, in addition to serving freshly made pasta every day, has a passion for drawing the Mass MoCA crowd onto Marshal and Main Streets to support the local restaurants and businesses downtown has to offer.

As you enter the rear dining area, you'll be welcomed with an assortment of family photographs from the early 1900s. Although the family's roots are deeply Italian, the restaurant also shares that rich heritage. 'Zia Roberto' is now open seven days a week, 4-10 PM. Walk-ins are welcome, but reservations are strongly encouraged. Rest assured, I will be dining there myself. Maybe an upcoming date night?

Food You Would Miss If You Left Massachusetts

There are lots of famous foods that can claim “The Bay State” as their place of origin. It is the most densely populated of the New England states and was one of the 13 original colonies and 6th state to join the United States of America.
