16 high school basketball teams from Berkshire County qualified for the Western Mass tourney across 6 divisions this season. 5 of them have made it to Championship Saturday at the Curry-Hicks Cage at UMass, including 2 from North County.

The Drury Blue Devils came in as the 4th seed in Boys Division 4. They'll take on top-seeded Ware in the second of 6 games at the Cage tomorrow. It's scheduled for a 12:30 tip-off, and you can catch all the action on AM1230 WNAW and streaming live on wnaw.com.

It will be followed by the Girls Div. 3 Final between 2nd seeded Hoosac Valley and #4 Greenfield. Again, if you can't make it over to cheer on the Lady 'Canes in person, Jack Passetto will bring the action home to you on the air and online.

The other Berkshire County teams looking to bring trophies back home are:

  • Mt. Everett; the #4 Eagles meet #3 Hopkins in a Girls Div. 4 final that gets the day started at 10:45
  • Both teams from Taconic; the 3rd seeded girls will play #1 Northampton for a Div. 2 championship at approximately 5:45. That'll be followed by the Boys Div. 2 matchup between the top-seeded Braves and #2 Chicopee, which will wrap-up the big day of b-ball at the Cage.

Good luck to all of our local teams on Saturday!
