Holiday bazaars and craft fairs abound this weekend in the Berkshires. Since most of them take place on Saturday I like to plan my visits like others map out neighborhood tag sales.

St. Stan's School in Adams is hosting its Christmas Bazaar Saturday from 9-4 in Kolbe Hall at the church on Hoosac St., with raffles, Chinese auctions, country crafts, baked goods, a Big Money raffle, their famous Polish Platter and much more. All to support the operation of St. Stanislaus Kostka School.

There will be a Savoy-Made Craft Fair on Saturday from 9-1 at the Savoy Fire House on Rt. 116. It's to benefit the Savoy PTG. Santa will be arriving by fire truck at 11:30 for a visit.

Also on Saturday,from 9-3 there will be a Holiday Bazaar at the North Adams American Legion. Do some holiday shopping from the vendors on hand, check out the Chinese auction, Scratch Ticket raffle, 50-50 & more.

Stretch your day into Southern VT and you'll find Grace Christian School on Kocher Drive in Bennington, holding their 20th annual Craft Show this Saturday from 9:30-3:30. There will also be a bake sale, a lunch menu, children's activity room and door prizes.

Then on Sunday from 10 AM-2 PM, Berkshire Grown's Holiday Farmers Market will be set up inside Williams College's Towne Field House, 82 Latham Street, Williamstown. Featuring locally grown and produced foods and gifts, plus live music, lunch fare, and children’s activities Admission is free. They'll have another one coming up on Dec. 15.

Don't forget: Adams Christmas Tree Lighting is set for this Sunday, Nov.24 on the Town Common. From 2-5 PM Sunday your family can enjoy free carriage rides and music, free hot cocoa, coffee and donuts donated by the Adams Elks and Lions Clubs. Santa arrives at 3:00 with goodies for all the kiddies, with the tree lighting set for 4:30. And don't forget to enter your family for a free drawing. The fun is sponsored by the Adams Community Bank, rain or shine.
