Everything about last Thursday's Part in the Park at Noel Field in North Adams with the Brave Bros. was just about perfect. Other than the fact that the band that was originally scheduled to perform, Full Burn, had to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances.

Hopefully, we can get them into next summer's Party in the Park lineup. You can still catch Full Burn later on this summer as they wrap up our sister station WSBS' Sounds of Summer concert series in Great Barrington on August 23rd.

Luckily for us, the Brave Bros.(who've been doing this long enough to be the consummate professionals that they are) were able to fill in for Full Burn at literally the last minute and did a terrific job, bringing some classic rock and pop to the Park.

(A Brave Brother Pre-Show Sound Check)

Mother Nature was very gracious towards the crowd and literally provided perfect weather for the concert. Not too hot plus plenty of cloud cover, too.

Some great food was on hand too with Marki's French Fries and Fried Dough serving up some mouth-watering eats, along with the Adam's Lions Club taking care of the burgers and dogs. (And, my goodness, you could smell those burgers all the way at the back of the field where the Classic Cars were!)

(FOOD!...and hungry people about to not-be-so-hungry)

Speaking of Classic Cars, we had quite a few show up Thursday evening:

And, two of the coolest guys in the whole world, Corey Bishop and Peter West of one of Party in the Park's sponsors, Bishop West Real Estate, showed up to chat with us and to help hand out WNAW/WUPE/Party in the Park t-shirts, as well:

So, to sum up, great weather, GREAT crowd, terrific food, and an awesome performance by the Brave Bros. playing everything from America to Sister Hazel and Jackson Browne made it a fantastic Party in the Park! Looking forward to this Thursday's PIP(7/21) with the band Radioactive.

Thanks to Victoria for the pictures and to our sponsors for Party in the Park, Bedard Bros. Auto Sales, Greylock Federal Credit Union, and Bishop West Real Estate. It's gonna be a great summer!
