Tacos With A Purpose

A local church group is asking for your support in helping young women on the other side of the globe. The Team Thailand Mission Trip group will hold a Taco Night this Friday, June 14 from 5-7 PM at First Baptist Church in downtown North Adams.

Nancy Lescarbeau tells us that 14 people from the church will be traveling to Thailand from November 28 to December 11 to a mission they support. New Life Center in Chang Mai, Thailand, rescues from and addresses the needs of young women in the sex trade by providing them with a safe location, a Christian education, and a formal education, as many only receive a 3rd or 4th-grade education.

Tickets for Taco Night are $10 for adults, $5 for kids 4-12, and free for those under 3. Baked goods will also be for sale. Please use the church's Eagle St. entrance when you go.
