Adams-based Shine Wire has been named a Massachusetts Manufacturer of the Year.

The company was one of 50 across the state named to the list by the state Legislature's Manufacturing Caucus. According to a report on iBerkshires.com, Shine Wire was nominated by First District State Rep. John Barrett III.  The article states that "the 4-year-old Manufacturing Caucus includes more than 60 legislators with the goal of increasing competitiveness in manufacturing by providing legislative support. The caucus is also focused on expanding opportunities in vocational high schools and community colleges."

Their website describes Shine Wire as "an electronic contract manufacturer of custom cable assemblies, wire harnesses, and electro-mechanical assemblies." The company was founded in 1984 as Shine Electronics, becoming Shine Wire Products in 1991. It's located on Print Works Drive in the Adams Corporate Park.
