Not only does she receive her winnings before taxes, but Val's also receives a $5,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

Markland plans to share her winnings with her children. This makes Markland’s prize the ninth $500,000 top prize claimed in the “$500,000 Frenzy” instant ticket game, according to Lottery Officials.
