Berkshire Health Systems has cut "14 full-time equivalent positions" as part of a restructuring of its staff, according to a statement provided by the nonprofit.

The Berkshire Eagle reports that the county's largest employer, which owns Berkshire Medical Center, Fairview Hospital and other Berkshire health care facilities, is also adding positions that people who have lost their positions can apply for.

Michael Leary, director of media relations said the restructuring was part of a regular re-evaluation the large employer regularly makes.

BHS is in the process of adding 69 jobs, according to Leary, and is actively hiring.
