He's played the Mahaiwe in Great Barrington, Tanglewood in Lenox, venues "from Stockbridge to Boston" and now, James Taylor will come to MASS MoCA in North Adams for a very special concert appearance.

On Sunday, December 9, at 3 P.M. the legendary Berkshire-resident performer will join his daughter Sally for "An Afternoon With Sally and James Taylor" to benefit arts education at MASS MoCA.

If you've been to Kidspace at the museum you've seen Sally's exhibition, "Come To Your Senses". On Dec. 9 you'll hear Sally and her Colorado-based collaborators, The Larson Brothers, as they kick off the event before Sally invites her dad to the stage for this intimate concert to play some of his music and to join her for a few songs to close the show.

The one-afternoon-only performance should be one to remember, but only 900 guests will be admitted to the Hunter Center, and as you may have heard, membership has its privileges. MASS MoCA members will get first crack at tickets starting tomorrow (Thursday, Nov.8) at 10:30 A.M. Remaining limited availability tickets will go on sale Friday, November 9 at 10:30 A.M.

The MASS MoCA website has full details on ticket prices and a link to purchase them.
