The Berkshire Wedding Expo, a one-stop wedding planning experience for prospective brides will be set up in a new, larger location this time around.

For its 16th annual edition, the Expo will take place at The Stationery Factory in Dalton on Sunday, January 20. In an interview on WNAW Thursday, organizers Diane and Jerrid Burdick from Berkshirebride.com said the new venue offers more space for vendors and attendees. It also has allowed them to merge what was a two day event into one day.

The Berkshire Wedding Expo will feature more than 60 Berkshire-based suppliers of all things wedding related, from caterers to photographers, venue hosts to valet parking services, DJ's to design services. Doors open at 9 A.M. for the Expo, which runs until 1:00, followed by a special luncheon by KJ Nosh Catering and a wedding fashion show by Tux Express. Prospective brides can be eligible for about $12,000 worth of prizes at the event, including a "V.I.B. Wedding" prize package worth over $4,000.

Admission to the morning Expo is free for prospective brides and grooms (yes guys, you are most certainly welcome too!), and $5 for other friends or family members. There is a separate charge for the luncheon, which is by reservation only.  You can sign up and get all the details on the day here. The Burdicks also told us that the first 100 brides to register will be eligible for a special prize drawing at the event.
