As always, props to the members of the North Adams Police Department, the Berkshire Law Enforcement Task Force, and the Berkshire County Special Response Team for everything they do to keep our city streets clean. What they deal with on a routine basis is certainly never unnoticed.
Here are the events that occurred.
Five Arrested For Guns And Drugs At Mohawk Forest In North Adams
A search of a North Adams residence at 162 Mohawk Forest Boulevard led to the arrests of five people, who now face drug-trafficking charges. Three of those five also face multiple gun charges.
The North Adams Police Department's Facebook page reports that authorities confiscated approximately 1,650 bags of heroin or fentanyl totaling 33 grams, around 59 grams of cocaine, an unspecified amount of U.S. currency, working digital scales, distribution materials, three loaded firearms, and 50 rounds of ammunition. Jaylen Graham, James Bennett, James Davis, Lindley Wright, and Scott Delmolino, all of whom were in the residence, were arrested and arraigned in Northern Berkshire District Court.
It was reported that when the Berkshire County Response Team gained entry to the unit, a significant amount of cocaine was flushed down the toilet. Guns were found to be a Smith & Wesson M&P .45 caliber handgun with 11 rounds of ammunition and a defaced serial number, a Smith & Wesson 9 mm handgun with 11 rounds of ammunition, and an American Tactical AR-15 Pistol .556 with 28 rounds of ammunition.
Graham, Bennett, and Davis have prior firearm convictions.

Suspects Arraignment And Charges
Graham and Bennett from Springfield and Davis from Chicopee face charges including trafficking 36-100 grams of cocaine, 18-36 grams of heroin, possessing a firearm without proper license or ID (repeat offense), having a loaded firearm (repeat offense), possessing ammunition without an FID, owning large-capacity feeding devices, committing a felony with such devices, possessing an untraceable firearm with a defaced serial number, improper storage of a large-capacity firearm, destroying evidence, and conspiracy.
Davis faced a firearm charge due to three previous violent or drug convictions, while Graham and Bennett were charged with the same offense following one such conviction.
Wright and Delmolino of North Adams faced charges for trafficking 36 to 100 grams of cocaine, 18 to 36 grams of heroin, and conspiracy.
Davis, Graham, and Bennett were detained without bail after a dangerousness hearing; Graham and Bennett's hearings are set for August 28.
Wright paid $5,000 bail; Delmolino left voluntarily, promising to appear.
