With only two games left in the season, the Patriots only have pride to play for the rest of the way.  The Pats take on the Bills tonight who replaced the Patriots this year at the top of the AFC East by clinching the AFC East division title.  The first title for the Bills since 1995.

The Pats as sitting with a disappointing 6-8 record on the season they will need to win out the rest of the two games to end even with a 500 record for the season.  The Bills have been on a roll only losing 3 games all year while winning 11 games.

Because the game does not mean anything for the Patriots playoff chances tonight, many are speculating that with coach Belichick signaling Cam Newton will be starting again tonight that Jarrett Stidham, once thought to be the team’s long-term replacement for Tom Brady, has slid out of favor with coach Belichick.  If the team was serious about the future of Stidham as the leader behind center next year, Stidham would be starting tonight and again in the final game of the season on Sunday.  Stidham has never started a game in the NFL since getting drafted in the 4th round by the Patriots in 2019 and his future with the Pats is now a big question mark with Pats fans.

Tonight’s game can be heard of 1230-AM WNAW in North Adams and 1420-AM WBEC in the Pittsfield area beginning with the pregame show at 7:30. Kickoff tonight on ESPN is at 8:15.

The final game of the forgettable 2020 season is this Sunday against the Jets in the Meadowlands at 1:00 PM.
