After taking a year off due to the pandemic, Winterfest is coming back to North Adams!

Winterfest is an outdoor, downtown festival in the heart of North Adams.  This year, it's taking place on Saturday, February 19th.  The extended forecast says partly cloudy skies with a high of 34 degrees, so the weather should be good!

Now, let's say you're a winter curmudgeon like I am.  It takes a lot to get me out of the house to enjoy something outdoors in February.  Why should you (and I) go?  Well, I'm glad you asked...

Farmers Market and Craft Fair

You know the deal.  Berkshire County takes pride in the various foods, drinks, soaps, crafts, art, and various other gems you'll find that are locally made.

Ice Sculptures

I wish I had the talent to do this.  The sounds of chainsaws and other tools will fill the air as people much more talented than I am make and design artwork out of ice.  I love looking at the ice sculptures, and when the sun hits the ice from a certain angle?  *chef's kiss*

Campfire and Playing in the Snow

One of these definitely appeals to me more than the other.  That said, my son is young and he loves playing in the snow, so I'll probably let him do his thing in Colegrove Park with the other kids.

Horse Drawn Wagon Rides

How often do you get a chance to experience something like this?  It's cool for both kids and adults, so take advantage while you can during Winterfest.

At this point in the winter season, most of us are itching to get back outside and have some fun.  Winterfest in North Adams is a perfect way to do that.  You can bring the kids, enjoy the fresh air, and support your friends and neighbors by being part of the community and having a great time in downtown North Adams.
