Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, experience demonstrating the ability to perform outlined activities or any equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Applicant should have a working knowledge of public works equipment operation and mechanics, and ability to perform manual labor under varying weather conditions according to the post.

Seasonal Laborer
The Town of Adams, Massachusetts is seeking qualified individuals to fill Seasonal Laborer positions for the Department of Public Works. These positions perform manual work in the operation of the Department of Public Works under the supervision of the department foreman, or other supervisors. This position assists with lawn mowing/grass cutting, including operating tractors and/or ride-on lawn mowers, lining of athletic fields, weed whacking, and labor duties including, but not limited to, digging ditches, shoveling snow, shoveling highway materials, assisting in manual excavation of graves, painting, brush removal, assisting with line painting on roads, operating snow blowers, trash removal, and other duties as required. High school diploma or equivalent, plus work related experience demonstrating the ability to perform outlined activities or any equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Applicant should have a working knowledge of public works equipment operation and mechanics, and ability to perform manual labor under varying weather conditions.
