It wasn't exactly raining cats & dogs last Saturday, but it was wet enough to move at least one outdoor event to its rain date.

"Dogs & Drafts" has been rescheduled for this Saturday, October 20, when you can come and visit Berkshire Humane Society at Bright Ideas Brewing! From Noon to 2, Berkshire Humane Society will be collecting donations at dog-friendly Bright Ideas Brewing in North Adams. They're especially looking for things like pet food, soft dog treats, dog & puppy toys and chews, cleaning supplies, and paper products. Let's not forget that BHS also takes care of kitties looking for a forever home, so cat & kitten toys would be appreciated. And there's always that standby, good old cash. BHS receives no public funds from any other animal support groups or from any local, state or federal sources.

So I guess the postponement was good news since it gave you an extra week to collect more stuff to donate. It's family-friendly so bring the kids. The fun will be on Bright Ideas Brewing outdoor patio on the MASS MoCA campus, where they're hoping for drier weather this Saturday. Leashed, friendly dogs are welcome on the patio, so come out, have a beer or other favorite beverage. Bring your dog & help a homeless pet.
