Cheshire PD Reminds You Of Street Closure During 7/23 Block Party

Just in case you forgot, Berkshire County residents, this Saturday marks the occasion of Cheshire's 11th Summer Music Block Party on Church Street. Great music and great food for the whole family!

The Summer Music Block Party has been a blast in the past and I'm sure this Saturday's event will be no exception. However, the Cheshire Police Department would just like to remind you that during the Block Party, part of Church Street will be closed.

According to a post on the Cheshire Police Department's Facebook page, to ensure a safe and fun event, the portion of Church Street from School Street to the Town Hall will be closed from 4 p.m. till approximately 8:30 p.m. when the Block Party ends.

The event organizers along with the police encourage those attending to park behind St. Mary's Church at 159 Church Street. From there you can either walk the short distance to the Block Party or grab a ride courtesy of the shuttle that is provided.

Also, police remind you that parking on Depot Street will also be limited due to the detouring of traffic. Hopefully, Mother Nature will be smiling on us on Saturday. However, if it does happen to rain, the Block Party will be held inside the elementary school.

There will be fun for the kids, raffles for some great prizes from local businesses, and delicious food courtesy of Ozzie's Food Truck and Diane's Twist Ice Cream! Oh, almost forgot, terrific music with The Misty Blues.
