The city of Baltimore has once again come in first place -- on a list no place would want to be a part of: the top 50 most bed bug-infested cities.

Atlanta-based pest control company Orkin has released its annual list of the cities most plagued by the seed-sized bloodsuckers, and Charm City came out on top again.

Locally, the City of Boston came in at no. 32. While that may be a frightening number, the good news is that they have improved four spots from the previous year. Just over the state line, Albany came in at no. 50.

Nearby Washington, D.C. came in second place, with the Windy City, Chicago hitting third.

Los Angeles actually made the top five, jumping up two slots to four. Columbus, Ohio rounded out the top five.

The Orkin study was based on the number of bedbug-related calls its exterminators responded to, and where, between December, 2016 and November 2017, the company reports.

Here are the Top 10 on Orkin's Top 50 Bed Bug Cities List:

1. Baltimore
2. Washington, D.C.
3. Chicago
4. Los Angeles (+2 spots)
5. Columbus, Ohio
6. Cincinnati (+2)
7. Detroit
8. New York (-4)
9. San Francisco-Oakland-San Jose
10. Dallas-Fort Worth (+5)
