Another Celtics Game Postponed…Not Enough Players Available Tonight or Tomorrow…

According to a Tweet from the Boston Celtics tomorrow’s game has also been postponed. Tonight’s Celtics game against the Bulls was postponed yesterday…just announced this afternoon tomorrow night’s game against the Magic has also been postponed. The Celtics currently have 10 players that are not available due to NBA Health & Safety Protocols, injury or illness. The league requires at least eight players to be available to field a team. The Celtics currently have only seven players that can suit up.

The postponement of tonight and tomorrow’s game is the third consecutive game that has been postponed. Sunday’s game was 86’d because the Miami Heat were unable to field a team. Tonight, and tomorrow’s game was nixed due to the Celtics coming up short.

Jayson Tatum tested positive for COVID-19 over the weekend that also forced Tristen Thompson, Grant Williams and Robert Williams into quarantine. Injuries have also hit the C’s causing Kemba Walker and Jaylen Brown to be put on the shelf. The postponement of tomorrow’s Celtics game against the Orlando Magic is the third consecutive game for Boston postponed due to the lack of healthy players.

The Celtics are off to a good start early in the 2021 season. The Celtics are currently 7-3 and are in 1^st place in the Eastern Conference. While the Celts have been idle, they’ve leapfrogged over the Bucks, 76ers and Pacers going from 4^th to 1^st in the division since last week.
