Christmas Tree Lighting
NORTH ADAMS: Wednesday, Nov. 22, 6 p.m. at Monument Square. Caroling with the Drury Band, hot chocolate and the arrival of Mr. and Mrs. Claus will arrive on the Fire Department's antique Mack Fire Engine with treats. Kicks off the annual Hometown Holiday. This year the Downtown Bike Around will join the procession down Main Street with bikes decorated in lights. (Raindate Dec. 1.)

COCOA AND COOKIES WITH SANTA

Saturday, Dec. 9 North Adams, 9-11 a.m.: North Adams Commons Nursing and Rehabilitation Center invites children in the area to have cocoa and cookies with Santa at North Adams Commons, 175 Franklin St. The morning will include refreshments, and a photo with Santa plus a small gift. Parents are asked to RSVP to Kira at 413-662-4403 by Dec. 6. The event is free.
