This September, there will be roughly 425 new residents in the city.

The Berkshire Eagle reports they'll be eager to learn.

According to Gina Puc, dean of enrollment management and community relations at MCLA, about 275 of them will be members of the incoming freshman class.

About 150 will be transferring in from other schools.

MCLA classes begin Sept. 5, and incoming freshmen are expected to start arriving Sept. 2.

Dozens of volunteers will help them move in to their new digs at Berkshire Towers or Hoosac Hall.

There will then be programming specifically for incoming freshmen to help them get acclimated to both the school and the community.
