Many of the traditional Fourth of July events will not be held this year and some events have been altered in order to follow COVID-19 guidelines.

The Berkshire Eagle reports the fifth annual Run for Independence becomes a Virtual 5k Race with participation in your backyard, around town or on a treadmill from Saturday, July 4, through Saturday, July 18.

Register at tinyurl.com/ybceo7sw by 11:59 p.m. Friday, July 3, in order to receive the "world famous" insulated wine tumbler. They will be available for pickup at Nature's Closet two weeks after the race.

Yoga Outdoors will be offered by Tasha Yoga on Saturday, July 4, at a location to be determined. Visit tashayoga.com for updates. Face masks will be required.

A prerecorded Reading of the Founding Documents, presented by Williams College faculty and staff and Williamstown Theatre Festival, will be aired on WilliNet Channel 1303 at 8 and 11 a.m. and 2 and 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, July 4 and 5, or online at WilliNet.org anytime.
