We have another group of streets in Pittsfield that are due for some roadwork next week. Yes, September rolls on...as does the 2022 Street Improvement Project.

This scam works rather simply. The contractor either shows up at your door or maybe leaves a pamphlet for you saying that they are doing work in the area and noticed that your driveway could use some paving and then promises you a great deal.

The City Department of Public Service and the Mass DOT have determined that the roads paved last summer was done with asphalt that does not meet specifications.  So those roads will need to be milled and re-paved.  According to a release by the city, that work will begin starting Monday.  The con...
