The "War on Drugs" rolls on. However, fellow Berkshire County residents, you'll be happy to hear that a major battle was just won by the good guys!

In their effort to detect and remove those drivers who operate under the influence from our roadways, the MSP has announced a sobriety checkpoint for Friday.

It stands to reason. After all, playoff football weekends are typically common ground for numerous incidents concerning drunk and/or impaired driving.

Thanks to a major multi-agency drug investigation, approximately $250,000 worth of drugs were taken off our streets.

Crimes concerning the drug fentanyl continue to happen on a daily basis. So it's refreshing to see incidents where the guilty receive their just desserts.

Here's to our Massachusetts State Police who, in a three-week span has done a damn fine job hunting down illegal handguns and getting them off the streets.

Members of the Firearms Investigation Unit seized two loaded ghost guns and trafficking weight in fentanyl last Thursday, August 18th.

According to the Westfield Police Department, they're looking for a female who stole some vacuums from Walmart and then left the area in a stolen vehicle.
