The Ashuwillticook Rail Trail will be even more heavily-trafficked than normal on Sunday, as the Steel Rail Half Marathon returns to Berkshire County for the seventh time.

Hosted by Berkshire Running Center, the Steel Rail Half Marathon, and 8K race, traverse the length of the Ashuwillticook from the Berkshire Mall in Lanesborough to the Visitor Center in Adams.

The half marathon starts at the mall at 9:30 a.m., while the 8K begins at 10 a.m. in Cheshire.

Berkshire Running Center expects the largest turnout ever this year, and the Ashuwillticook will be full of runners from 9:30 a.m. until the expected finish in Adams at 12:30 p.m.
