Snowmobile Accident in Florida Kills 24-Year-Old

The Berkshire Eagle  reports a 24-year-old man died in a snowmobiling accident in the town of Florida on Saturday night.

Camron E. Howland appears to have lost control of his sled and struck a tree while riding on a trail near Monroe Road shortly before 7 p.m.

The investigation remains open, according to a statement issued Sunday by the Berkshire District Attorney's Office.

Multiple agencies responded to the accident, including Massachusetts State Police, the Florida Fire Department, North Adams Police, the Berkshire County Sheriff's Office and the Massachusetts Environmental Police.
