Officials with the FBI in Denver have confirmed that as of Tuesday afternoon the body found in Wyoming on Sunday was Gabby Petito and announced her death is now a homicide.

Teton County Coroner Dr. Brent Blue’s initial determination for the manner of death is homicide. Officials have not released the cause of death remains pending final autopsy results.

Authorities in Florida said Tuesday they are “actively” investigating deer camera footage that captured a hiker resembling Gabby Petito’s missing boyfriend, Brian Laundrie, trekking through the wilderness.

The area where this is search for Laundrie is happening In Baker Florida, which is north of where I lived for years and the area especially over towards Tallahassee.
So if this is him he has done a lot of miles already.

Sam Bass said he spotted the man toting a backpack at 6:17 a.m. Monday in the town of Baker, Fla., about 500 miles away from Laundrie’s home in North Port.

Oskaloosa County Sheriff’s Office used drones as part of their search of woodland near Baker, Florida, after a local man thought he might have spotted Laundrie, 23, hiking in the area on Monday morning.

The sheriff’s office did an update Yesterday, Tuesday afternoon to say the search had turned up nothing of note.

Gabbys' family said through their lawyer that they plan to make a statement “when Gabby is home.”
