The Berkshire Eagle reports the case of an Adams man, accused of formulating a terrorist plot in support of the Islamic State, will apparently end with a plea rather than continue to trial.

Alexander Ciccolo, 25, who has been held since his arrest July 4, 2015, was expected to take his case to trial, with jury selection scheduled to begin in early June.

The trial was expected to start June 19. The hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday at the U.S. District Courthouse in Springfield.Details of any plea agreement or sentencing recommendation were not immediately available Tuesday afternoon.

Ciccolo's arrest came after he allegedly accepted a small cache of weapons from an FBI informant.
