Patriots vs. Chiefs Tonight on WNAW…Kickoff at 7:05

The Patriots game postponed yesterday against the Chiefs has been rescheduled for 7:05 tonight. The game was postponed because of a positive test by Cam Newton for Covid-19. The Chiefs also had a quarterback from their practice squad test positive.

With no new positive tests on either team, the NFL rescheduled the game for tonight. You will be able to listen to tonight’s game, and the remaining games of the season on 1230 AM WNAW and if you are traveling towards Pittsfield on WBEC AM 1420. The pregame show starts at 6PM.

According to a statement by the NFL, “In consultation with infectious disease experts, both clubs are working closely with the N.F.L. and the N.F.L.P.A. to evaluate multiple close contacts, perform additional testing and monitor developments,” the league said in a statement. “All decisions will be made with the health and safety of players, team and game day personnel as our primary consideration.”

With Cam Newton on the self and in quarantine, speculation is that backup Brian Hoyer will start in his place. The Pats also have the disadvantage of landing in KC late this morning to play a game in a different time zone tonight.

The Chiefs led by Patrick Mahomes haven’t lost a single game all season and the Patriots need a win to stay close to the Bills who have also haven’t lost a game. The Bill's currently lead the Patriots by 1 game in the AFC East. The Patriots go into tonight’s game with a 2 – 1 record.
