A traffic stop Wednesday in Greenfield led to the arrest of two men, including one from the Berkshires, on drug-trafficking charges.

The Berkshire Eagle  reports that according to a state police report, 35-year-old Daniel Angove, of North Adams, was driving a Chevrolet Cruz about 10pm when he was pulled over for allegedly speeding in the rotary off Exit 26 on Interstate 91.

Angove was taken into custody after telling police he had a suspended license.

The passenger in the car, 23-year-old Eddylberto Hurtado, of Springfield, was arrested after allegedly giving police a false name and birthdate because he had an outstanding warrant.

After noticing drug paraphernalia and other items commonly used for packaging drugs, police searched the car and found about 700 bags of heroin with a combined weight of about 18 grams, and 28 grams of crack cocaine. Both men were charged with trafficking in heroin, trafficking in cocaine and conspiracy to violate drug law.
