North Adams Woman Escapes Injury After Striking Deer

The Bennington Banner reports a North Adams motorist struck and killed a deer on Route 7 Wednesday afternoon near the Pownal View Barn.

Police said Marcia Ethier, 64, was headed northbound when a deer ran onto the road.

Ethier was unable to avoid striking the deer.

She was wearing a seat belt, was uninjured.

Ethier's car, a 2013 Nissan Rogue, sustained heavy front-end damage and was towed from the scene.
