The North Adams Public Library is opening its doors from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 11, for its first ever "Star Wars" Symposium led by Belmont Library Director Peter Struzziero. The program will be held in the library's third floor community room, 74 Church St.

All ages are invited to come dressed as their favorite character for the costume contest, learn about the history of "Star Wars," test trivia knowledge, play character ID games, explore the traveling "Star Wars" museum, and watch pop culture videos.

This program is made possible by support from the late state Rep. Gailanne Cariddi. Information: 413-662-3133 or www.naplibrary.com.
