A man was taken to Berkshire Medical Center last night after being struck with a bullet in the area of King and Martin streets in Pittsfield, according to Pittsfield Police.

Just before 8 pm, police received a ShotSpotter gunshot detection alert and then received a call that a man had been shot.

The Berkshire Eagle reports that the man, who was shot while on the street, suffered injuries believed not to be life-threatening. A portion of Martin Street was closed while detectives investigated the shooting, and no arrests were made as of 8:45 last night.
