It’s National Waffle Day, But Is It Your Favorite Delicious Breakfast Go To?
So today is national waffle day but is it your favorite breakfast food?
Mashed polled 45,000 people all over the world to find out which dish is everyone's favorite breakfast food.
People were given five options, eggs, French toast, waffles, pancakes, or others, which were things like bacon, sausage, and toast. , one food won over nearly half of all survey respondents. And coming in at number one was,.no it was not waffles.
Eggs came in at the number one slot in the poll. My dad used to put eggs on his ketchup ...eeewww on that one for sure.
But I guess I am a little weird with my eggs hard fried maybe a slice of cheese and some salsa, my hubby Scott likes his over easy. everyone usually has a favorite way when it comes to eggs.
Healthwise there are good things when it comes to eating eggs.
A single large boiled egg contains.
Vitamin A: 6% of the RDA
Folate: 5% of the RDA
Vitamin B5: 7% of the RDA
Vitamin B12: 9% of the RDA
Vitamin B2: 15% of the RDA
Phosphorus: 9% of the RDA
Selenium: 22% of the RDA
Eggs also contain decent amounts of vitamin D, vitamin E, vitamin K, vitamin B6, calcium and zinc.
A lot of people think eggs will give you tons of high cholesterol, not so true, it is high in cholesterol, but Don’t Adversely Affect Blood Cholesterol and it does raise HDL (The “Good”) Cholesterol.
Something else that is really good that comes from eating eggs, they are Linked to a Reduced Risk of Heart Disease.
So even though it is national waffle day have a couple of eggs with it.
