Residents of the Berkshires who did not receive a government pandemic relief check have until Nov. 21 to complete paperwork to qualify.

The Internal Revenue Service said this week that the deadline to register for what’s known as an Economic Impact Payment has been extended by five weeks.

But after Nov. 21, the IRS said Monday, an online application tool will no longer be available.

The campaign is designed to reach Americans who didn’t receive the payments, worth $1,200 for a single person. The effort is needed to involve people who didn’t earn enough in previous years to file personal income tax returns, the IRS said.
