A hiker who wandered off a trail at the Mount Greylock State Reservation on Wednesday morning and got lost was rescued later that day by first responders.

The man, 38, of Berkshire County, was not injured, according to North Adams Fire Chief Steve Meranti. His name was not released.

The man called 911 early Wednesday morning and said he was lost. Massachusetts State Police were able to find his location based off of his phone calls. Meranti said he received a call at about 6 a.m. to assist a group consisting of state police troopers, who were equipped with some dogs and their Air Wing, and members of the Department of Conservation and Recreation.
